THE INTENTIONConfidence before the first visit
01 / THE STRATEGYSTART WITH HOW PEOPLE FEEL.

Trust begins
before the chair.

The brief: create a family dental practice that feels capable, approachable, and easy to choose.

For this concept, we designed around three patient needs: reassurance for nervous visitors, simplicity for busy families, and clear information for people returning to care. These are design hypotheses, not findings from commissioned patient research.

The opportunity is to make every touchpoint answer the same question: “Will I feel comfortable here?”

01 — POSITIONING

Expert care.
Human connection.

A neighborhood practice for people who value a familiar team and explanations they can understand.

02 — PERSONALITY

Calm, clear,
never cold.

Warm language, generous space, and cheerful sky blue tones communicate professionalism without intimidation.

03 — THE PROMISE

You belong
in the conversation.

Make room for questions. Explain the next step. Invite a decision without pressure or perfect-smile promises.

WHY “NEW SMILE”?

A name with a welcoming outlook.
A fresh start. A familiar welcome. A new reason to smile.

Working concept name; availability and trademark clearance have not been assessed.

Inside the thinking: from brief to direction +

Discover. In a live engagement, interview the practice team and patients, audit local competitors, and identify appointment barriers. Here, the brief supplies the starting assumptions.

Define. Choose reassurance as the organizing idea. Balance airy sky blue with warm cream, peach accents, and natural oak so everyday family care feels approachable and inviting.

Design & validate. Carry one smile gesture through the system. Test recognition, readability, booking comprehension, and emotional response with real patients before launch.

02 / THE IDENTITYONE SIMPLE GESTURE. MANY WAYS TO WELCOME.

A familiar name.
A signature smile.

An elegant serif brings a human voice. A quiet smile adds warmth. Together, they make an identity that feels established and easy to approach.

SUBMARK / SMALL SPACES

THE SMILE, REPEATED / BRAND PATTERN

Recognition over decoration. Keep the smile open and simple; it remains recognizable on a door, an appointment card, or a small embroidered badge.

A flexible system. The stacked mark leads. The horizontal lockup fits narrow spaces. The “ns” submark supports small applications; the smile pattern adds texture.

A palette that puts people at ease.

SELECT A COLOR TO COPY ITS HEX CODE.

EDITORIAL VOICE / GEORGIA

Good care.
Familiar faces.

EVERYDAY CLARITY / ARIAL

A clear next step.
A little more confidence.

Expressive headlines meet readable, practical body copy. Ink blue text on warm cream keeps the experience legible. Sky blue leads the identity, while peach and soft curves add a welcoming touch.

03 / THE BRAND IN REAL LIFECONSISTENCY PEOPLE CAN FEEL.

From the front door
to the little details.

The same sense of care, wherever a patient meets the brand. A restrained core identity gives every application room to breathe.

AI-generated application mockups illustrate the proposed identity; physical production and final artwork may vary. Children’s gifts would require age-appropriate sourcing.

04 / THE PATIENT JOURNEY

Design the feeling.
Then remove the friction.

01 / DISCOVER

“Is this for me?”

Show the practice atmosphere and everyday care options immediately.

Design response

A welcoming homepage with a plain-language promise.

02 / CONSIDER

“Can I feel at ease?”

Explain what a first visit looks like and invite questions about comfort.

Design response

First-visit guidance, team information, and helpful FAQs.

03 / REQUEST

“What happens next?”

Make the appointment request short and distinguish it from a confirmed booking.

Design response

One primary action and a clear follow-up expectation.

04 / RETURN

“I know this place.”

Carry the same identity into the visit and the follow-up.

Design response

Familiar signage, printed guidance, and a warm reminder.

05 / THE DIGITAL EXPERIENCEPATIENT NEEDS FIRST. ALWAYS.

A website that
makes the first move easier.

The homepage answers three questions in order: who is this for, what will it feel like, and how do I take the next step?

INTERACTIVE HOMEPAGE CONCEPT

And the moments in between.

01

Routine checkups, cleanings, and a conversation about your everyday dental care.

02

Feel comfortable

Have a concern? Start with a conversation about what you’re experiencing and possible next steps.

03

Grow together

A friendly introduction to dental visits for children, with room for parents’ questions.

NEW HERE? YOU’RE WELCOME.

Know what to expect.
Feel more like yourself.

It’s okay to have questions. It’s okay if it’s been a while. Your first visit starts with getting to know you.

  1. Tell us what matters.
Share your goals and any worries.
  2. Understand your care.
Talk through the assessment and options.
  3. Choose your next step.
Discuss the plan, timing, and costs together.
A LITTLE CLARITY GOES A LONG WAY

Before you visit.

I’m nervous about visiting the dentist.

You can share that when requesting a visit. In the proposed experience, the team would discuss your concerns and explain what to expect before treatment.

How do I ask about insurance or costs?

Ask the practice to confirm accepted plans, fees, and payment options before your appointment. This fictional concept does not represent actual coverage or pricing.

Does requesting a visit confirm my appointment?

No. In a live service, the practice would contact you to agree on an available time. This portfolio demo does not send appointment requests.

Let’s start with hello.

Your questions are a good place to begin.

A SIMPLE FIRST STEP

Let’s plan a visit.

This is a portfolio demonstration. Use the sample details below to explore the flow; nothing is sent or stored.

01

Reassurance above the fold

Gentle copy and a view of the space help a visitor imagine arriving.

02

Care in everyday language

Service categories make the next click understandable without dental jargon.

03

A clear, honest action

“Request a visit” sets a realistic expectation. The concept demonstrates the flow without collecting data.

What we would validate before launch +

Patient comprehension. Can first-time visitors find care options, understand the request process, and explain what happens after submitting?

Accessibility & delivery. Audit contrast, keyboard use, screen-reader labels, mobile layouts, loading performance, and reduced-motion behavior.

Practice accuracy. Confirm providers, services, insurance details, contact information, privacy requirements, and all clinical copy. No invented reviews or clinical outcomes.

THE THROUGH LINE

good care feel closer.
